On June 24th, Connect celebrated the end of yet another successful school year with the annual family barbecue and picnic. This year had the special addition of a campfire sing-a-long courtesy of our very own Ron Sweet, where parents, alumni, and current students could all enjoy the songs that help make Connect memories so special. On April 19, 2018,┬áConnect, the TsuuT’ina Education Department, Mount Royal University, Lakeview Community Association, and the Outdoor Council of Canada came together to host a community Powwow in an effort to foster a positive relationship between the student bodies and to celebrate a culture of inclusivity and traditions. On June 10, 2019, Jay Serdula, an adult living with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), presented to Connect Charter School grade 7 and 8 students. His powerful and thought provoking presentation was recorded and can be viewed here.
