How long have you been teaching at Connect Charter School?
Since 2006, so this is my 13th year here at Connect.
What is your educational/professional background?
I went to University of Alberta for Bachelor of Education, specializing in secondary education, majoring in Bio Sciences and minoring in Social Studies. I also have a Masters of Education from University of Calgary with a specialization in Curriculum Studies and a Graduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning Mathematics.
What brought you to Connect?
A new opportunity to teach in a new school within a big city.
What do you consider the best part of working at our school?
The people that make this school special; students, parents and other stuff.
What do you like to do when you’re not at Connect?
Traveling, walking my dog or reading a book to my dog.
What is you most recent rewarding moment as a teacher?
When a student feels happy about what they have learned and what they have accomplished through hard work.
Tell us something about yourself that most people don’t know about you.
I ALWAYS fall asleep at the dentist.
If I gave you an elephant where would you hide it?
In my pocket.
Would you rather fight one horse-sized duck, or 100 duck-sized horses?
One horse-sized duck. I can probably outrun a big duck and it probably won’t be able to fly due to its size.
If you were a box of cereal, what would you be and why?
A mixture between Harvest Crunch Granola and Rice Krispies; because I recycle and I’m Asian.
